About the Role
The Digital Architect will support digital transformation, service innovation, and program review initiatives, working as part of cross-functional product delivery and program review teams. The role focuses on the design and delivery of user-centric digital services, ensuring alignment with an overarching architectural vision while supporting agile delivery practices.
The Digital Architect will provide architectural leadership and strategic guidance, overseeing the software architecture of digital services and ensuring solutions align with technical standards, common platforms, and emerging best practices. The role balances hands-on technical expertise with strong business acumen and project leadership to support iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
Requirements
• Act as the lead solution architect for digital services, ensuring alignment with citizen-centered design principles and agile software delivery practices.
• Develop and maintain the overall architectural plan, including uncovering existing system context and defining future-state solutions.
• Provide technical recommendations, prototypes, and feasibility assessments to support discovery and solution design.
• Ensure solution designs support iterative implementation, including analysis of impacts, risks, and dependencies.
• Guide delivery teams through the implementation of digital services, supporting frequent and incremental delivery.
• Determine the tactical integration approach, including system boundaries, interactions, and target-state architecture.
• Identify opportunities to leverage common components and shared digital capabilities across services.
• Provide guidance on detailed solution designs, including reviewing and contributing to code as required.
• Support Agile ceremonies, working closely with product owners, subject matter experts, and technical delivery teams.
• Balance team capacity between user stories and technical tasks in collaboration with the product owner.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to product teams to support architectural best practices and delivery standards.
• Contribute to the architectural vision for a platform of user-centric services.
• Support the development of principles, standards, and metrics related to service quality and delivery.
• Communicate architectural concepts to technical and non-technical audiences through documentation, diagrams, and presentations.
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the architecture practice, adapting services and deliverables as project needs evolve.
About the Company
StaffCorp is partnering with a public-sector client to recruit a Digital Architect for a 12-month engagement, with the possibility of extension.
